Imagine a perpetual motion machine, reliant solely on its own energy: It is unstoppable. Such simplicity, efficiency and tenacity lie at the heart of Partnership for Sustainability. Born out of the environmental and geo-political imperatives for renewable energy, and grounded by a dedication to social-action philanthropy, our mission includes three critical objectives:
1) To encourage environmental and domestic resource sustainability by increasing the use of renewable energy and the consumer market for such energy.
2) To support community sustainability by enabling individuals and organizations to make capital investments that increase their assets and reduce their monthly expenses.
3) To develop non-profit sustainability by generating integrated revenue streams to cover overhead costs.
OUR SOLAR LOAN PROGRAM
The goal of the PFS loan program is both to promote the spread of renewable energy by reducing the costs associated with converting from fossil to renewable fuels, and to enable low and middle-income families, small businesses, and non-profits to adopt green energy technologies. The fund will be divided into approximately the following proportions:
» 65% to individual homeowners
» 10% to small businesses
» 25% to non-profits
PFS gives preference to low-income applicants, as defined by HUD and employed by the Colorado Housing Assistance Corporation (CHAC). We also strive to maintain geographical diversity within the metro-Denver area.
For small business loans, PFS gives preference to community entrepreneurs who typically do not qualify for loans from commercial lending institutions. Primarily, these are referral clients from the Micro Business Development Corporation, a Denver non-profit focused on micro-finance and community economic development.
At Partnership for Sustainability, we are driven to bridge the gap between the up-front costs of renewable energy and its many long-term benefits. Please join us.
