LEANNA HARRIS
Leanna Harris spent 15 years working in education, most recently for the Public Education and Business Coalition and at the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning. She holds a BA in Theology from Georgetown University and an MA in Education from the University of Colorado.
Serving on the board of the Rose Women’s Organization in Denver and co-founding The Giving Trust inspired Leanna to leave the field of education to pursue a career in the non-profit sector. After installing a solar array on their own home, she and her husband found that it sparked a tremendous interest among friends and neighbors. The overwhelming sentiment was that even though they, too, would like to utilize solar electricity, it is just too cost-prohibitive. Thinking about creative ways to bridge the financing gap for solar while in the process of making her career change, Leanna founded the Partnership for Sustainability as a way to address the issues that consumers face in accessing renewable energy, particularly solar electricity.
When not watching their electric meter run backward, Leanna loves to travel, especially with her husband and 3 kids. She is also an active skier and cyclist.
